Are fitness influencers good personal trainers? 
In general, a personal trainer has years of experience and some sort of training credentials that validate their skill set as a fitness coach. A personal trainer may also be an influencer, though most influencers are not personal trainers. An influencer is just someone who has a significant following on social media, which is not proof of their expertise as a fitness professional or their coaching ability. How many female personal trainers are there?
According to survey results from Brown University in 2016, the distribution of female/male personal trainers in the survey sample was 54.5% and 45.5%, respectively. 

How often are personal trainers certified? 
It is very likely that a personal trainer has either a Bachelor in Sports Medicine (or a related subject area like human kinetics) or at least one form of fitness coach certification. In the same survey conducted by Brown University, they found that less than 3% of all personal trainers have neither a personal training certification nor any formal university education.
