Tatiane has a PhD in Kinesiology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She came to Calgary in 2014 to finish her PhD project at the University of Calgary where she worked with elite speed skaters to validate new tests protocols to evaluate skating performance.

Tatiane is a contract Faculty at Mount Royal University since 2016 where she teaches courses such as Biomechanics, Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Statistics and Research methods and Motor learning.
Tatiane has developed several research projects related to the area of human health and sports performance. She is interested in movement biomechanics and exercise physiology, including forces and kinematics, technique analysis, functional exercises, cardiovascular and neuromuscular responses to exercise.
She loves being active in the Rockies including climbing, skiing and mountain biking.
