The Jensen Fitness Athletic Performance Testing Program is designed to peak your athletic performance. We offer high performance testing packs specifically designed to evaluate components that matter the most for the athlete, such as sprint, agility, power, balance, endurance and strength. 

Results from tests are plotted on a single radar graph to better visualize the athlete’s overall performance profile. This way weakness can be identified and training can be targeted to improve what it's needed the most.  We also provide a full biomechanics analysis of the sport technique to determine the safest and most efficient way to perform the movement as well as asymmetries and injury prevention. 

 

 

How it works:

Athletes can start by completing one or all of the testing packs: physiological, biomechanics and motor skills tests. A detailed report will be provided to determine the main aspects of performance that need to be improved, based on the athlete’s goals.

A retesting interval will be determined, usually after 4-6 weeks of training, and results will be compared to the initial report to quantify the improvements in performance.

Training is sport-specific and individualized and curated by our PhD Kinesiologist.

 

 

 

 

 

ATHLETE PERFORMANCE PROFILE

The athletes' scores in selected performance capacities are plotted on a single radar graph to visually represent their profile relative to the normative values. Particular weaknesses in stregth, power, balance, speed or endurance capacities can be identified and training can be targeted towards what is important for the athlete.

BIOMECHANICS / 2D KINEMATICS TECHNIQUE ANALYSIS at 2 intensities

2.5 Hrs Total, 45-60 minutes gym time, 90 minutes for video analysis and report

We provide a full biomechanics analysis of the sport technique using Tracker, to determine the safest and most efficient way to perform the movement. We can analyze skating biomechanics for hockey, speed skating, figure skating, and cross country skiing.

PHYSIOLOGICAL TESTING

2 Hrs Total, 90 Minutes gym time, 30 Minutes for reporting

The physiological tests assess the athlete’s aerobic and anaerobic energy system capacities and the physiological responses to maximal and submaximal effort, such as maximal oxygen uptake and physiological intensity thresholds.

Motor skills such as balance,agility, speed, power and strength are important components of sports performance and injury prevention. Tests are specifically designed to measure these skills specifically for each type of sport/exercise.

Your Sports Testing Experience: What to Expect

You will see how your body performs when compared to elite athletes’ results. You can expect to see asymmetries between your left and right limbs and expeculate the causes and how to fix them. Also a close look at your movement technique will get you valuable insights on how to improve by changing simple gestures and/or equipment.
